Tummy Tuck in Turkey
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) removes loose skin and fat from the lower abdomen and can repair separated stomach muscles, for a flatter, firmer tummy. Your operation is performed by an experienced plastic surgeon at an accredited partner hospital in Istanbul, while Core Health Turkey organises everything around it.

What is a tummy tuck?
A tummy tuck removes excess skin and fat between the belly button and the pubic area, tightens the remaining skin and, when needed, stitches together stomach muscles that have separated (diastasis recti) after pregnancy or weight change.
It is often combined with liposuction of the waist and flanks, and sometimes with breast surgery. A tummy tuck is not a weight-loss operation: it works best once your weight is stable.
Who is a tummy tuck suitable for?
A tummy tuck may be suitable if you:
- Have loose or overhanging skin on the lower abdomen
- Have a separation of the stomach muscles after pregnancy
- Have lost a significant amount of weight and have excess skin
- Are at or close to a stable, healthy weight
- Have finished having children, or plan no further pregnancies soon
- Do not smoke, or can stop before and after surgery
Your doctor decides whether the treatment is right for you after reviewing your photos, medical history and goals.
Types of tummy tuck
Your surgeon recommends the type that suits the amount of loose skin and where it is:
Mini tummy tuck
For a small amount of loose skin below the belly button. Shorter scar; the belly button is usually not moved.
Full tummy tuck
Treats the whole abdomen: skin and fat are removed, muscles repaired and the belly button repositioned.
Extended tummy tuck
The scar continues towards the hips to also treat loose skin on the flanks, often after major weight loss.
Tummy tuck with liposuction
Liposuction of the waist and flanks is added to refine the contour.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a tummy tuck cost in Turkey?
The price depends on the type of tummy tuck, any combined procedures and what your package includes. Send us your photos for a free consultation and we will send you a personalised quote.
What is the difference between a mini and a full tummy tuck?
A mini tummy tuck treats loose skin below the belly button with a shorter scar. A full tummy tuck treats the whole abdomen, repairs the muscles and repositions the belly button. Your surgeon recommends which one you need.
Can I have a tummy tuck after pregnancy?
Yes, many patients do. It is usually recommended to wait at least several months after giving birth and after breastfeeding ends, and ideally once you have finished having children.
Will I have a scar?
Yes. The scar runs low across the abdomen, usually so it can be hidden by underwear or swimwear. It fades gradually over 12 months or more.
Can a tummy tuck be combined with liposuction or breast surgery?
Often, yes. Your surgeon decides whether combining procedures is safe for you, depending on your health and the length of the operation.
How long do I need to stay in Istanbul?
Usually around 7–10 days, so you can recover and be checked before you fly home.
